Waterloo Park Norwich

Sunday 14th August 2016

GYB loves nothing more than playing outside on a warm , sunny afternoon especially when its a new venue for us. How wonderful it was to be invited to play for the first time (hopefully not the last) in the beautiful grounds of Waterloo Park in Norwich. What a fantastic bandstand too if perhaps just a little unusual for us, being surrounded by a Moat didn’t unsettle us as we were sure it was for decorative purposes only and not to stop us escaping.

It was lovely to play for a whole new crowd, the majority of which, we are sure had never heard us play before.
Due to work commitments and Holidays a few of our friends kindly helped us out and our sincere thanks go to:
Philip Harrold stepping in as Musical Director, Alan Sealey, Guy Ludbrook, Mel Spinks, Matt Taylor, Margaret Whiley, Stuart Philpot, and Graham Smith.

In summary, a beautiful day, a very large appreciative audience, listening intently to a wonderful variety of music. Great Yarmouth Brass upholding a Great British Tradition on a superb summer’s day. Just Perfect.
Take a look at the Photo’s Page for more images of the day.
